ALL AFTERNOON: EXPLORE YOUR MPA
ON THE WATER
Dive into the Point Dume State Marine Reserve: one of two Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) off LA County’s coastline, where fishing is limited in order to help revive the aquatic ecosystem. Learn from local marine science experts about the incredible life forms thriving just below the surface, and how our activities impact them… Or, just get on a board and have fun! MPAs are ideal for ocean recreation. The afternoon program includes:
- Board Demos
- LA Waterkeeper Paddle Out
ON THE SAND
Back on the beach, enjoy live music and drinks, participate in our raffle, and check out booths hosted by our sponsors and partners in safeguarding local MPAs!
